EVENT INFO: Learn about the most common ocular and visual problems in individuals with Parkinson’s disease (PD). Gain knowledge on how to detect early recognition of ocular and visual problems in PD. Hear about recommendations for early evaluation and management to improve an individual with PD's safety, independence, and quality of life.
Dr. Shahnaz Miri is a board-certified neurologist, neuro-ophthalmologist, with fellowship training in a movement disorder. She completed a Neurology residency at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital. Dr. Miri also completed a Movement Disorders fellowship at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital and a Neuro-Ophthalmology fellowship at Bascom Palmer Eye Institute, University of Miami. She is joining Wilmer Eye Institute at Johns Hopkins University as a Neuro-Ophthalmology faculty member. Her research interests include vision disorders and ocular biomarkers in neurodegenerative disorders including Parkinson’s disease and Alzheimer’s disease.
